So last night I found my babysitter and went out for a night on
We went on to the next bar. A neighborhood bar which is normally a nice fun place to hang out. This night not so much it was karaoke and it reminded me wow I am not nearly as old as this crowd. So off we went. Of course the husband did not care to join and out they went to go back to said friends house and hang out. Got to love homebody husbands. My friend and I went back to to Lounge and had a drink and then went off to the "real" Bell Blvd. First the normal bar to hang and have a couple of drinks. Of course not I since I was the designated driver and am still responsible. After hanging out their a few hours we decided to check out a bar that has changed names more times then I can remember. Now it is a country bar, it has an electronic bull and a country theme. Complete with half naked chicks dancing on the bar. Awww man our poor husbands got to miss this. It was fun and despite being country themed they played anything but country music (which actually bummed this city girl out as I love country music). We hung out and danced and then headed back to the norm. We had a blast and it was such a fun night out. Only problem I had was once we went to the "real" Bell Blvd. I looked around only to notice I was probably one of the oldest women their. How strange since I am only 28 years young. But why did I feel so old. The men who approached us (not that I was in any way looking to be approached) were all old enough to be my father. At first I asked said friend ewww what gross guys trying to hit on us, then I heard they were only 30. Oh wow times have changed. So there are the men approximately my age trying to pick up anything that they can bring home. Then the girls trying to find the "hottest" (if that is even one of the "hip" words now a days) guy to conquer. Boy oh boy what a night.
Now I know why this Mom enjoy';s staying home with her husband reading some books playing some kids games and catching up on all my friends blogs.
So in the end I realized reunions tons of fun when you get together with the proper bunch. Going to the "real" Bell Blvd. not so much fun when you are 28 years young.
